The term clicker originated from a small metal cricket noisemaker, adapted from a child’s toy, used to mark desired behaviors during training. The clicker helps animals quickly associate specific behaviors with receiving a treat.

The finger clicker offers four sound level options. Customers receive the clicker at its loudest setting, level 4. To reduce the sound, you can cover one hole with electrical tape to lower it to level 3, cover a second hole for level 2, and cover all three holes for the quietest setting, level 1.
